"The Original and The Double"

.. is a part of broader project titled "The Combinatorial Model", wich will be realised within the space of two years. A piece shown at L5 Gallery consists of three elements: Simultanious, two-channel projection of two different videotapes emitted by two independent TV-monitors and exposition of printed portraits connected with objects. The common plot of both videotapes is a face of the same man. On the first, wich was realised on the computer, this face is animated and deformed by using a couple of digital filters. The other one is edited of documentary video recordings i.e. the mirro images and reflections of that face in different surfaces. Both tapes are designed as one simultanious piece. Thes two images (fromm videotracks) are complementary. The Original renders The Double, its own image. Barbara Maroñ
