What is DIN A4?
We ask professional artists, from all over the world, to participate in this project by sending us two drawings on paper size DIN A4. DIN A4 is an European standard for paper size, the measures are 210 x 297 mm.
The aim is to receive drawings from artists all over the world to be presented and registrated.
This project can only be realized with the cooperation of all artists. The participation of each artist with his/her work in this project will make DIN A4 a manifestation of the always existent urge of artists to represent thoughts, feelings, environment and time.
All selected works will be registrated on video and CD-Rom and showed in alternating exhibitions. The drawings will be stored with care and can be showed on demand of interested visitors.
The size DIN A4 offers a good unity, which is easy to store.
In the varying presentations of the individual works we will take care for a balanced presentation, to prevent that visitors get overwhelmed by the quantity and to prevent that the individual works are underestimated or come in an competitive atmosphere.
With the collection of drawings we want to create a DIN A4 institute, that shows the creative force and the difference in expression of the various participating artists out of the whole world.
The entire collection will show that, in spite of the huge quantity, each drawing has its own specific character, formed by individual qualities, cultural background and surrounding of the artist.
The artists' creations will show the unicity of human beings on paper size DIN A4: 210 x 297 mm.
How can you participate?
- Send two drawings on paper size 210 x 297 mm to: DIN A4, H. Geeststraat 15b, 6041 GB Roermond, The Netherlands.
